'a woman shld not be limited to the kitchen...let her express her herself and better her lot' that is the meaning i read from this photo-shoot.

Congrats Omotola better than just going to every party without a sense of responsibility to the society

grace said...

what has her taking a picture in the kitchen got to do with the issue @ hand? mscheww
omotola is one of the few nigerian actresses that constantly try to make a difference by actively supporting widows and orphans, to joining protests to fight for the right of nigerians. she is not like some other nollywood actresses that globe trot and live a life of show off, we dont need that we need people that are passionate about this country and are ready to help. @least she didnt sell her vote to jonathan like some others

There is a message in d use of the backgorund.one of the problems confronting us in 9ja is that we refuse to think outside the box.PITY!!!!if you dont understand the message, ask rather than criticize.congrats Omotola

@ann jan 2nd 9.46pm,others.get an education on what the amnesty international represents then you might understand and maybe also appreciate the pride you should feel in having a nigerian as an ambassador of any NGO much more the amnesty international.when our beauty fades and shoes, clothes and bags go in and out of fashion, the most important thing that should remain is our conscience and what we offered while we lived!

Hello Linda, some of your bloggers are pretty amazing(for use of a better word) in their comments.hollywood actresses are all fighting to be visible in areas where they can be seen as giving of their time and money.angelina, jen aniston, clooney, matt damon, brad, miley cyrus even the kardashian sisters partook in helping the victims of hurricane katrina.we celebrate this people and now we have our very own nigerian born and bred publicly acknowledged for an NGO as huge as the Amnesty Intl and we criticize???oh my word.we really do have a long way to go.but then again, maybe they dont know the significance.and FYI,the amnesty ads are usually done with this kind of backgorunds.read the message and hopefully you would understand why.congrats Mrs Omotola Jalade Ekeinde.God bless you, your family and God bless Nigeria.

She has a 2012 reality TV series on London based OHTV (via Sky TV) and the clips are really funny. It has not started yet but I can't wait to watch it because she has a personal assistant from "hell". That's what Omo-Sexy says.

Omotola sleeps too much and never wakes up on time for appearances here and there. Omotola does not like to be bossed around or told what to do. She is really cocky...

waka waka genni i am sure you can learn from omot

really, its a plus for Nigeria as a whole, i will call her an ambassador with a good sense of dignity, aside the fact that she knows her onions in terms of her line of profession, she also have things she is passionate about and not doing what others are doing or what they want to do. she just made us realise that she stands out in all ramification.
thumbs up omotola

See serious beef. Ever time its omo t, genny must be mentioned. Are they ying and yang? Or opposites of each other? That genny and omo thing is so stale and should be left to rot in 2005, please. Grow up. There are many others like ini edo, uche jmbo, rita dominic, kate henshaw, nse ikpe, etc, etc. yet people are making snide remarks towards genny for actually doing her job, being a fucking celebrity. I mean, what have those criticizing done to give back to their communities or help the less fortunate?? I doubt a damn thing. Those in glass houses should not throw stone..period..

bicurious said...

I just want to give her a big hug! The expression on her face is classic! This woman deserves a standing ovation! Love her. To all who are comparing her to Genevieve and all those other actresses. Biko we all have our beliefs. Not all of us can be humanitarians. Some people are on this planet for themselves alone. U can't beat them over it. Genny and co use their celebrity status to become more popular and wear the best material things, hey its their life. And to LIB asking abt the kitchen, kai! Pls educate urselfs and expand ur horizons b4 u spit ignorance. How appaling at ur idiotic opinions.

@ grace and @ babe thank you for such sensible comments. the amount of illiterates that comment on linda,s blog is shocking. such ignorant bunch of low life fools.
wake up people!!!! i read ur negative comments about this great achievement omosexy has once again acquired and my blood boils!!!
AMNESTY INRTERNATIONAL is a FUCKING BIG DEAL especially in the western world, a place where selfish beings like ur genevieve nnaji strives to be recognised as a "star" by her foolishly hustling to take picture with every bonafide celebrity there so nigerians thinks she,s arrived! truth be said, they dont even no who she is. FACT.

omo sexy on the other hand is passionate about the act and the cause she signs up for, it comes as no suprise to me she was chosen to represent africa for this major project; respect to her, she doesnt see the need to take pictures and put them everywhere on the internet like ur genevieve and co!
for fuck sake people, wake up! do ur research before embarassing urselves by showing aw ignorant u truly are by ur stupid comment! linda its 2012 pls give ur blog more credibility by not publishing stupid comments made by people who ave no shot at life!!!

@ Alicia aka Genny's voltron shuit ur stinking isi ewu eating trap. Breathe smelling like stock fish. As long as these two women are celebs in the naija community, we will always compare them on all front and the fact that "some" consider them the top 2, they will ALWAYS compare their acting, dress code and humanitarian efforts or lack of! And genny is a materialistic, see me or I die chick! Shikena. Get over it. Some of us don't see any good in genny.

Alicia says... said...

So omo t wearing an ill fitting dress and taking camera phone pictures at the grammys wasn't a notice me or die move?? Hypocrisy at its best. Like I said, what exactly have YOU done personally instead of riding the coattails of omotola?? Genevieve is a businesses woman and enjoying her life. I dont see why she is getting so much shade when she is doing what basically all the nollywood actresses are doing--hussling in their careers. I'm sure you are the same vices that follow the likes of kim k, rihanna, beyonce, etc. ohhhh please. And yes my stock fish smelling mouth will continue talking. I ber naija babe, wtf are you?? Ohhh maybe you only eat caviar, and other "exotic" foods. Please..NEXT!!

Anon. 6:2pm. devoid of the curses you were making sense until you roped Genevive into the whole thing. How does this concern Genevive?
I am not a fan of both ladies but clowns like you need to learn how to stop manufacturing irrelevant and invisible beef.

I get so mad when people just want to jump on the bandwagon. Omotola I hope you read and understood the policy and mission of Amnesty International. For starters the organisation is Pro Choice, Pro Gay relationship etc Dont become an ambassador for something yiu cant defend in the long run. Your country Nigeria currently has a very harsh law which nit uses to control homosexual relationships/expression in Nigeria. When push comes to shove I hope you will be able to defend the cause of Amenesty International seeing as you are their Ambassador.

So many ignorant tribalistic people here.especially you 'NAMETALK AM' or wateva crappy name you bear.Wat concerns isiewu and this issue?you think supporting Geni is synonymous to being ibo? My God! Grow up!....

Alicia just made an unbiased comment and you come rushing with the ignorant crap you're spitting.WE ARE TIRED OF THESE COMPARISM!and I'm sure if they were here, they will say so too.No human being on earth likes it.it makes one nervous, desperate to impress(which mostly ends in disaster)and always watching their backs.pls,iv never heard of a time when Genivieve and Omotola were rivals,in the same relationship or whether they even dislike each other.they are different as day and night.from their body structure to colour tone to their roles differ.its the Yoruba faction who felt marginalised in a predominantly Southern n Eastern Nollywood that began to exhault OmoT as a defensive measure not cos they love her.all this bias can't lead anywhere.....

Again, even in Hollywood, not all top actresses are active in charity or pet projects.it should be from the mind and preferably done without the press(or you calling up the press purposely).Besides,Omotola is a married African and by virtue of that, they are certain events she won't readily be seen in.She has kids n is happily married and has always been since like forever unlike Geni who is single. So why blame her for globetrotting and partying? In your Hollywood you keep calling,How many married actresses, musicians do u see @ the wild playboy parties going naked?

Omotola is beautiful and proffesional but my dear naïve ppl,it could have been Genivieve.it could have been anyone.to become an ambassador for these organisations stems from connection, pulling the right strings.Even the hollywood philantropists hardly care about the poor in Kenya,Widows in Sudan.its good for the image,so they engage.SIMPLE!
