Linda, point of correction if you please, a broadway show does not "screen", it is not a film. a broadway shows "open" or if they want to see what the critics think, they have a one to two week "preview" before the official "opening".
na wa o..so they are showing it on a screen in Naija..when everywhere else it was a staged play.I dont blame them..not like naija folks will pay that amount to go and see it anyway
@anonymous 4.02pm - they are playing LIVE, it is not a film screening of the show. i know this because i just saw one of the trumpet players Jordan at a friend's CD release party and he told me that he was heading out to Nigeria and asked for advise since he knows I am Nigerian.
@chichiluv, I say screening because the production was filmed live at the Olivier Theatre, London and will be shown on a screen in Naija. I don't think the actors will be performing live on stage in Naija.

thank you, gistexpress because i thought i was losing my mind here. i remember linda posting it a few weeks back and people arguing about why there weren't enough nigerians in the show etc.

Wait oh! u see how Nigerians kill themselves, Fela was a nigerian and all his act happened in Ikeja right there (his shrine still dey, am sure) but becos Oyibo recreate the film and have the guts to bring it to Nigeria for the FIRST time(no be insult be that) and pple will go and pay(how much again?) think the thing well well sha! When he was alive no one send am oh(pple said na em carry HIV and all dem pikins waka)! but oyibo insult una and recreate the tin na him Fela come become sugar again...**sigh** Nigerians cld be okponu's at times!!!!
