Willow Smith named one of Ebony magazine's "Power 100."

Willow Smith tears up before LA's tree lighting

10 year old Willow has been named one of Ebony magazine's Power 100 emerging leaders in entertainment.
"It means that I am changing people lives a lot because with my songs. Its making people feel more strong about themselves. I want to be an inspiration to kids, because sometimes parents don't like their kids to be out of the box, and sometimes that can be a little irritating, so I just say, breathe and go with the flow." Says Willow about the honor.

Willow Smith named one of Ebony magazine's "Power 100" is okay by me, but if this tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny 10 year old (obsessed with her hair) gets the Nobel Peace Prize or becomes Nigerian President before me, I swear, there will be hell to pay, and I will stop liking her music. Where is that Tom Cruise? I need to join Scientology.

lol @ Teaser. I'm proud of her, but I think that's sad that they didn't thing other people were worthy. Her song came out less than 6 months ago. We're not even sure if she's a 1 hit wonder yet.

This little girl really needs to be in school but instead her parents are encouraging her to sing so early and going out to award nights.

Heeeh ,,, Smith please we know your child is a child prodigy but we are not unaware of her pedigree. Please send this Child to school and tell her that education is what she should concentrate on for now.No doubt you are among the few blacks that made it without much education. For me all these fame and money she is exposed to right now is a distraction. She is too young for Hollywood sensation. ....I know America, very soon now they will trow one scandal to her just to disorient her. Abeg Smith and Pinket this girl is too young for red carpet sensation.

This is what happens when you have "powerful" parents pimping you out!

She's a little bit young for all this, isnt hse?
Kids should be kids so they embrace adulthood when it comes.
Kids who jump on the threadmill too early often get burnt out when they become adults.....Michael Jackson, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears........?!

Una keep quiet jare! They said Power 100. How is she not powerful? I don't care if her song came out yesterday. Many people in the world are whipping their hair to her music. She is powerful and influential. Don't jealous her abeg!

@anonymous 3.48am

who told you she's not in school? her smart and wealthy parents are building her future and giving her alternatives to formal education and you here here green with envy and whining.

Hopefully, she won't grow up to be messed up like Lindsay Lohan and all those other child stars.....she would have been an inspiration to kids if she went to school and read her books....singing at 10 year old about whipping your hair is no inspiration to any kid.
Damn, I can't believe I am hating on a little kid like this LOL...But I stand on the fact that she is no inspiration and she needs to spend her time in the classrooms rather than promoting music.

It's the sharks circling that want to capitalize on her that the Smiths should be worried about..'cos this yankee kids they sure know how to divorce their parents after getting their little heads turned by money!!..

Na wa for the comments here today oh. For example,
angel what are you saying? people go to school to acquire knowledge. every child needs knowledge. that's why they need to go to school. and what do you mean by only white people understand life? na u biko oh.
oscar, keep your advice to yourself. nobody is going to read it. Just because the girl sang one song,you think she's not going to school? And your comment about Will Smith being one of the few blacks to make it without education is just offensive to all blacks.
Ade Cool what do you know about yankee kids "divorcing" their parents???? u too much abeg
At the end of the day, the Smiths are just parents raising their kids the way they see fit like everybody else. so far nothing has gone wrong. i don't know what all the fuss is about.

@chinwe..
Wake up..Kids "Divorcing" their parents is common in Hollywood...managers and sharks turn their heads too easily...telling them they are the best thing since sliced bread..

chinwe said...

uhhhh Ade Cool please enlighten us more on the lifestyles of kids in Hollywood oh great know-it-all

wake up ok. you don't know more than what's in the tabloids and those guys will always write crap that will sell their rags

Drew Barrymore did it to her mother. I think. She divorced her in court. :)
